That's really a great product
as everything from Apple
The only problem is that you can't easily use it outside the US but if you are clever enough you can buy from different shops gift cards from online stores that they ship outside united states so you can make like I did:Register an account on itunes redeeming a gift card for Itunes store in USA so you can download films
Great choice for cocooning and Save films on hard disc
perfect quallity HD and great collection of any kind of films
Highly recommended

I am loving this product. It is like an ipod for your TV. You can browse movies, tv shows, music and You Tube all from your television. Or, you can look up and buy on itunes and then watch it or listen to it on your tv. The screensaver is very neat and pulls multiple pictures from a file of your choosing. We are very pleased and love the option to rent hd movies. I found the hook up to be a breeze - it immediately found the wireless network, I put in the network key and then it found my computer. You then put in a key to itunes to allow the two to sync. Also, you can control what syncs to protect space. I am always impressed with Apple, and this is no exception.Customer Review: Don't throw away your old AppleTV's!

Just because a new one is around the corner there's still a lot you can do with your old AppleTVs! Since they have a lovely Intel processor and 160 gigs of hard drive, and 720p support, you'll still be able to use them as great media extenders. If you stick with iTunes then AirPlay will continue to work allowing you to stream music to your TV sets across the house. I'm not sure about AirPlay video support yet, but that we'll find out soon enough.
Otherwise, install Boxee on it. [...]. That way you can get Netflix, Hulu and your own personal content on it! So many uses, and now for a much cheaper price since they're priced to sell!

My only complaint about the Apple TV is lack of a web browser and ITunes backup.
-It doesn't have a web browser although there are hack for Hulu that I have not tried yet. The big hurdle there appears to be that every-time you update your AppleTV the hacks get erased.
-I would like to have my entire media library on my AppleTV and clear some of it off my MacBook Pro. I have not been able to figure out how to gain more control of syncing yet.
It has the best picture quality out of any of my components and great apple functionality.
Highly recommend it, especially if you use ITunes and an IPhone.

For my purposes, this is a great product. The only negative I have to say is the latency when you go back to it from regular tv. It takes a couple secs to come out of hibernate mode so it's not that instant gratification that we're all used to getting. I'm using Boxee (google it) with this which streams tv shows from the internet. I also download movies online and copy them over to the AppleTV. If it wasn't for live sports I could cut out cable altogether b/c everything I need can come from the AppleTV! This will pay for itself many times over since I'm now cutting out all movie channels on my cable bill.
