After reading a lot of different reviews for this item I took the plunge and let me tell you it was worth it. The tech on this stuff works great even without a Nike+ shoe (buy the grantwood pouch!). I took mine out on the first day and when I hit the 1 mile marker on the trail the ipod was right with me. The system is pretty user friendly and the website it also uber cool. I've never really liked running much, but I know I need to. After I got this, it made running a lot more fun with all of the competitions you can enter on the website and you can keep track of total mileage and everything. I don't like that it is only designed to work with Nike shoes(I have wide feet and can't wear them), but thanks to companies like Marware, it isn't a big deal.Customer Review: Fantastic!

I was worried since I am a walker more than a jogger, however it works beautifully for either! You calibrate it which is a breeze and enter your weight and you are done! Whats really great is that since you enter your weight, the calories burned are more accurate! I know the battery has a life of 1,000 hours and then you have to buy a new one. Like most teenagers my son immediately got into the technology of it and it will keep him running during offseason of his sports. I also purchased one for my wife along with the Nano. They are both using them and having fun listening to tunes and monitoring their runs with this neat technology. Love the Nike + iPod Sport Kit. It is great for tracking your workouts. Also allows you to participate in marathons across the country without going to the marathon site. All you do is run your miles and sync your iPod to the computer and you are recognized as a runner. How cool. Plus you can challenge your friends near you or across the world. What a great product!
