Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Nike + iPod Sport Kit for iPod nano 1G, 2G, 3GCustomer Review: Very Motivational Summary: 5 Stars
This Sports Kit is surprisingly motivational. I love looking at stats and now I get to see my workout stats! And after looking at them, I'm always like, well, I can do better than that. So, in a sense, it brings out your competitive side in wanting to one-up everyone else using this. And what I was most surprised at was the accuracy. On my first run, I went on a treadmill to calibrate it, however, absolutely nothing needed to be changed. The instant the treadmill hit 1 mile, so did my iPod and the lady's voice...lol If you do any kind of running/jogging/walking, this item is a must...it's great. Plus, I must add, this item is relatively cheap...I mean Nike charges you an arm and a leg for everything they sell, and this is only $30?!?!
Customer Review: This thing has changed my life! Summary: 5 Stars
I LOVE this thing. I can't believe how motivated I have become since getting this. It works wonderfully and is totally accurate. I use it on a treadmill and the accuracy is within 5% of what the treadmill tells me for distance and calories.
I love how it tracks all of my runs and I love being able to see all of this on the Nike website. It's very easy to use and has a nice soothing voice that updates you on your progress as your running. It even keeps track of your best runs and then tells you if you beat your best record when you finish. I find this very motivating and feel like I accomplished something when I am told that I broke a record.
If you are looking to get motivated then this product is for you!
Customer Review: excellent kit, if you're into running or walking, get this ! Summary: 5 Stars
This baby works right out of the box, I'm using with my 1st gen nano, and track my daily walking routine. The device is very precise, and consume little or no batteries from your ipod. It fits on your nike+ shoes or any other shoe with a 5-buck pouch. However, the best part and real added-value of it is the interaction with the nikeplus.com site. When you sync your ipod from itunes, it sends your workout data to your nikeplus account, and from there you can see al sort of stats and cool graphs. You can assign routes to your runs via google maps (all integrated in nikeplus), and see your performance progress. I suppose when the transmitter dies (nike says it lasts ~3 yrs) I would buy a new one. Great stuff from nike and apple !
Customer Review: Nike/Ipod Keeps Me Running!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I am in love with this system. I use it every time I go out the door for a run and often times IT motivates me to get out the door. I love using the nike plus website to challenge friends to keep us all motivated. I find it to be really accurate in terms of distance. It is so nice to run out the front door and not have to pre-clock the distance. I just turn left when I fell like turning. Plus, I find it to be such a rush when Lance Armstrong tells me I am awesome after a hard run! I have purchased this for a gift more than once!
I would say that it is more suited for a beginner runner to help them get serious. I am a gadget girl. I love hart rate monitors and gps but the Nike/Ipod is my FAVORITE gadget!
Customer Review: Great Motivation Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great way to motivate yourself to run. Just hook it to your ipod and there you go... it records your data and then syncs with itunes and sends it to nikeplus.com.
Pros:
nike has turned running into a competitive sport. It keeps track of all your data for you. It is easy to work. Nike now offers a training program that fits to your level or fitness.
Cons:
if you dont have a pair of nikeplus shoes, your going to have to buy an additional Lacelid. For better accuracy of distance, you may need to calibrate it.
This is a great product and it really made it easier to get up and run. highly recommended to those who are competitive, or new to running.
