Customer Review: Great Motivator!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was worried how difficult it would be for me to learn the in's and out's of this product (I'm not techno savy). To my surprise, it was so easy...pretty much PLUG THE THING IN!

I've never owned an iPod before so the whole experience was new to me, but within 30 minutes of opening the packaging (the 3rd generation Nano, Sports Kit and arm relay band) I was out running!

It is a real motivator for me to get out there and see how far, how fast and how many calories I can burn. I've only been saving my workouts on the Nano, but look foward to posting them on the website to chart my progress.

For some people the Nike+Sport kit might not give them enough information (heart rate, etc), but I'm in love! Thanks NIKE and iPod!

ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER!
Do not leave the sensor in/on your shoes if you wear them other than running. I had to purchase a new Nike+ after just 150 miles because I wore my running shoes most everyday of the week. When you are not running keep the sensor "still"...you use the battery whenever you even slightly move it. For example, you keep your running shoes in the car and every time you drive home on those bad city/country roads, guess what? That sensor is ON and running your battery down. FYI

Customer Review: Compete Against the World
Summary: 5 Stars

This Nike + iPod sport kit is excellent. I got it and it was ready to use out of the box. It was synchronized already and the only time it does not seem synchronized is when I run on the treadmill. I do not have the special Nike shoes, but I just put the sensor in the side of my shoes and there has been no problems when I run. I do take it out, however, when I play basketball. I have the very first version of the Nano, so I had to download some updater software, but it is easy. I like the Nike+Plus website, but I have heard some people note that it could be better.

PROS:
-Update your runs on any new version iTunes (Mac or PC).
-Voice reminders about distance remaining, pace, time run, etc.
-Don't necessarily need Nike shoes
-Synchronized and ready to use out of the box
-Compatible with any iPod nano version
-Adds no weight or discomfort to the Nano
-Great motivational and competition-inducing tool

CONS:
-Only available with the Nano
-Sometimes seems unsynchronized (treadmill)
-You cannot do battery replacement yourself
-Potentially easy to lose if you leave it lying around
-Need to go back to a previous menu to end runs

Customer Review: I love this thing
Summary: 5 Stars

I really like this thing a lot, and it's really cool the way it charts your progress on the Nike+iPod website. You can set your run based on either time or distance (or neither, actually), and a voice will update you periodically with your progress. You can also hit the center button at any time for an update. Holding the center button will automatically play your "power song", that you have to choose before you begin. It would be cool if you could choose multiple power songs, but currently you can only set one. It will attempt to determine calories burned as long as you enter your weight, but I use a heart rate monitor for more accurate results here. The iPod usually reports within 100 calories of the actual number burned, though. Also note that you don't necessarily need the special Nike shoes for this. I purchased a Sport Sensor Nike iPod Sport Kit which works great with any shoe (prior to that I kind of shoved the sensor under the laces, but that didn't work well with one pair of shoes I have and I was afraid I'd lose it). You must, however, have the iPod Nano, as none of the other models are compatible.

Customer Review: Very Accurate Readings-- A Great Motivational Tool
Summary: 5 Stars

I used to have another pedometer that i paid about $20 for, and the thing was crap. It would get stuck 1/ way through my run and when id check it afterwars it would say that I ran for 5 minutes and .2 miles. It was really annoying.

So even though i red reviews about how this thing wasnt too accurate i decided to try it myself. Im glad i did! I calibrated the thing on a very nice high school track and when it cae time to test its acuracy, it was spot on. I set it do track my stats for a 2 mile run and the second that i stepped over the starting line at the end of my second lap, i heard this through my ipod: ".5 miles completed."! I was completely amazed; it doest get any more accurate than that.

i have some saucony running shoes and i put that little jelly bean pedometer in the shoe-wallet that i bought and have never had a problem with accuracy with that system.

not only does the thing work great, but it has been very motivating being able to track my accomplishments. just make sure you find some good headphones that dont slip out of your ears. i have yet to find the perfect ones.

Customer Review: i love it!

hmmmm.... leave it to Nike and Apple to come out with something extraordinary!
From 2006, I have, had my eyes on this. I finally got it this year. It is such a great product. This is the reason I am out there sweating away the pounds. LOL

Good:

* tiny, no clunky items
* works right out the box. No installation.
* u cant beat someone cheering you on
* tracking of runs, better than manual logging your runs.
* works great with the Marware relay kit.
>>>>>>Sportsuit Relay Case for iPod Nano 2nd Generation
* Nike+ website is so easy to use. There is also two widgets your can download and use with Yahoo widgets to track your goals.
* Just so nifty!!!

Bad

* tiny, so it is very easy to lose.
* the calibration is annoying
* concerned about the battery that is not [supposedly] replaceable.
* some of the Nike+ shoes are not that attractive. [but hey!]
