I got this for my son's laptop. He had purchased one that looked right, but was for a different model laptop. This one works for the Apple Mini DisplayPort, but it only works for that exact name display connection. There are two different connectors on Apple laptops, and they use different VGA Adapters. This one works fine if your model has the Apple Mini DisplayPort.
The only reason I did not give this five stars is that the VGA connector screws thread into plastic. Tha means they will strip out after they are used several times.
