Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Mighty Mouse Wireless KitCustomer Review: Used to have Tracking Speed Problem Summary: 5 Stars
When I first got this I was disappointed by the speed of the tracking. It was TOO slow, but I later discovered that day that I could easily fix this by installing SteerMouse from Apple's main site. Which give's you full customization for your Mighty Mouse. And SteerMouse is free by the way..
Just search SteerMouse on google and you should find what you need.
I quote from Apple's download site:
About SteerMouse
An advanced driver for USB and Bluetooth mice. It also supports Apple Mighty Mouse very well.
SteerMouse can assign various functions to buttons that Apple's software does not allow, including double-clicks, modifier clicks, application switching, assignment of shortcut keys, "snap to" cursor movement, which moves the cursor to target (such as an OK button), and more.
SteerMouse lets you control the cursor's Sensitivity on top of the Tracking Speed. (Apple's software only allows adjustment for the Tracking Speed.) By adjusting both configurations, you can customize the ideal setting for the cursor to fit the movements of your hand.
Customer Review: Best mouse ever Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this mouse for years, and it's perfect. Once you've used the scroll ball for a while, you won't want to go back to any ordinary scroll wheel. The mouse is nice and portable, perfect for laptop use. Most wireless mouses still use USB dongles instead of Bluetooth.
The mouse does take some getting used to. In particular, you have to make sure that you aren't touching the left half of the mouse when you right-click, since it's really just one button; it electrically senses where your fingers are. (You might also have to modify your system preferences.) This may sound absurdly complicated, but consider where Apple is coming from: They have hordes of devout, life-long one-button mouse users, while they also have people like us who demand right-click functionality. The Mighty Mouse is an ingenious gadget that should make everyone happy.
The wireless model is expensive, but worth it. It's an improvement on the wired variety in every way.
Customer Review: Nice Wireless Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased this mouse to use with my macbook after my previous Logitech mouse started to fail. So far I have been nothing but impressed. Setup was extremely easy-my macbook recognized the mouse right away. One oddity I found was that the default for the scroll ball was not set to 360 degree scrolling. It baffles me that apple would do this when the multidirectional scroll ball is one of the best features. I have had no problems with the ball stopping up. There is absolutely no lag associated with bluetooth. The laser tracking works flawlessly. I have also used the wired mighty mouse and can definitely notice the lack of the laser tracking system-it is much less responsive. Overall I highly recommend this mouse for use with a mac. Great companion to the bluetooth wireless keyboard from Apple.
Customer Review: Love my mouse! Summary: 5 Stars
The wireless Mighty Mouse is awesome! I always use this with my MacBook and find it to be well worth the money. I've owned it for more than a year now, and it seems to use battery power fairly sparingly. The only problem I've had with it is that a couple of times the roller sticks and you are unable to scroll up or down or both directions. I've solved the problem by following Apple's recommendation: turn the mouse upside down and roll the roller over a wet cloth several times. You have to press down fairly hard, but it seems to clean what needs cleaning and then it works just fine. Bluetooth is easy to set up, too. I really can't imagine using my laptop without my wireless Mighty Mouse.
Customer Review: Stuck on this "mouse" Summary: 5 Stars
The wireless "Mighty Mouse" with the scroll button wheel is terrific and worth the "bucks" to acquire it. It has all the features you could want and is easily modified to your specific requirements. The small scroll button has 360 degree control, and once you get use to it (like 2 minutes) you can't do without it. Being able to turn this unit "off" when not in use, extends the battery time considerably. No matter how proficient you become with pushing the cursor around with your fingers on the keyborard, you can't beat the "Mighty Mouse".
My only negative comment is, why does an "In-Stock" item take Amazon 3-5 days to ship?
