Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Magic MouseCustomer Review: Lefty Loves It Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered the Magic Mouse from Apple the first minute it was available. I've been through a few Mighty Mice. They were fragile and fussy.
This one is perfect. It installed seamlessly and the configuration application is complete and well done.
It took a few days to adjust to the low profile. I have a PC and my Mac sitting side by side and I can compare the mice profiles easily. Once you adapt, you are in for a treat. The gestures to operate the Magic Mouse are simple and effective. They become second nature in no time.
It's been durable. As a software developer, I beat my interface gadgets up pretty good.
The battery life is also good. I've only changed them once since I purchased it.
Find something to reward yourself for.
Customer Review: Worth Every Penny Summary: 5 Stars
I have been an Apple user since Apple II days and have seen a lot of mice come and go on the Mac. At work, I have used workstations and PCs from just about every vendor at some time or another and have seen a lot of non-Apple mice there as well. In my hands, this is the best mouse Apple has ever sold and is miles ahead of the "Mighty" (now Apple) Mouse and every other mouse from any vendor.
It is pricey, but is well worth it to those of us who spend a lot of time on our computers. It integrates well with the Mac OS and the supplied apps, seems very stable and feels good in my hand. Unlike the mice with moving parts, there is nothing to gum up, get dirty or whatever. Only time will tell how durable and reliable it will be, but for now, I will give it my highest recommendation.
Customer Review: A great improvement over the "Magic Mouse" Summary: 5 Stars
I fell in love with the look and feel of the Magic Mouse. It had its drawbacks, but overall i liked it. This is a great improvement. The gestures are a nice feature, and this mouse has no trackball, which tended to get dirty, and thus unusable after a few weeks of use. Thus far I'm happy with this addition to my Mac Mini.
I'm in love with the gestures, one of which allows you to go back and forth between web browser pages. This is by far my favourite feature. Otherwise, the mouse site very low in the palm, which makes it feel more like a laptop trackpad than a traditional mouse. This allows for the gestures to feel very natural, so long as you're used to a Mac trackpad. It also looks good enough to live on my coffee table if im too lazy to put it away between uses.
Customer Review: The little mouse that could Summary: 5 Stars
I just got this mouse a couple of days ago, and with any new mouse I had to adjust to it. There is really only one problem with this mouse and that is the comfort level. I wish the mouse was a little taller so I could rest my palm on it. Other than that any other "problems" with the mouse are solved with (free) software. The tracking speed-fixed. Pinch to zoom- fixed. Two finger scrolling, three finger scrolling, two-three finger clicks - all enabled. This mouse can do so much more with a simple free app.
Also this mouse is built like a tank. Aluminum bottom with a high quality plastic on top. The mouse looks gorgeous too.
So all in all this mouse is 5 stars. I marked it down for comfort but honestly my hand/wrist doesn't hurt at all after hours of use.
Customer Review: Comfortable and functional Summary: 5 Stars
I've used this for a few weeks now, and am very happy with it. I upgraded from the Mighty Mouse, and the Magic Mouse is head and shoulders above it. The 'click' is nice and distinctive, and the "right" button that is accessed by clicking on the right side of the mouse is very useful. I use the mouse to control Hulu from my couch (which is about 10 feet away) so for me the range is perfect.
The multi-touch takes some getting used to, and for things like "back" and "forward" in the browser, I still prefer keyboard shortcuts. However, for scrolling, it works very well.
The mouse is expensive, but if you think about the amount of time you spend using it, and how integral it is to your computer experience, I think it's worth every penny.
