You can probably just watch video Podcasts on your computer screen just as well, but I have come to enjoy watching them on an HDTV. The Apple TV also shows videos from YouTube, shows pictures from my photo collection, plays music and all the stuff you can do with a computer or an iPod. I have just been using it a couple of weeks but I am very pleased with what it does and like using it very much.Customer Review: This is the coolest!

Wow, this works better than I figured it would. The Tv and photo quality is very good, and it plays You Tubes without trouble. Some are a little blurry, but a picture is only as good as the source. The initial sync took quite awhile, but the updates are quick and easy. And that's on wi-fi!
And it set up nicely with my Harmony One remote.
I am tickled pink.

The Apple TV is a great product. I am not a tech person but with a little bit of help from customer service I had the item up and running in a few minutes. We don't have cable or satellite, but to watch the down loaded programs on a big screen is terriffic! Just a note, be certain you have the right ports on your TV to connect the product. Classic Apple, easy to set up and use. Lets you get that cool stuff you find on the Internet onto your home TV with very little fuss.
Would have been nice if it worked with all video formats or had a converter built into iTunes so it would transparently convert to the right format for you.

Love it lots, really enjoy the ability to download movies, tv shows and you tube snipets. Plus I love the ability to put my ipod playlists and photos to view. It's really great to show our photos while music is playing in the background at gatherings.
