Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Bluetooth Wireless Mighty MouseCustomer Review: Great Product but a bit of a Tight Squeeze Summary: 5 Stars
First: I'm using this product with a MacBook Pro that was purchased right around the time that this is being written. Thus, it is unknown how this would work with a PC or an older Mac. Also, if you buy from Apple directly this runs you about 69, not 89.
"Squeezing" the side buttons to bring up Expose is a little tight, it takes some pressure and getting acquainted with. Otherwise, the product is great. Bought it several days ago: connects well and maintains signal, clicking is easy with right, left and scroll wheel clicking. You can scroll vertically and horizontally with the ball. Mouse works with one or two batteries, I would recommend buying some rechargeable ones to save money and the environment. Not sure about the products longevity but I can't see it failing unless I mistreat the thing.
Bottom line, is it worth the cost? I would say yes. No cord to mess with. No wireless usb plug-in thing to mess with. Those two things by themselves makes it worth it to me but also, the functionality with my Mac and the quality appears to be high. Good luck! :)
Customer Review: Surprisingly Good Summary: 5 Stars
Thought the price a bit much, and didn't care for the apparent "Apple premium" evident in some Apple peripheral prices, so I got smart and asked for it as a gift :)
Wow! Well worth the relatively high sticker price. As other reviewers have pointed out, the mouse appears to have a unibody, one-click, design, but actually recognizes four assignable buttons (and very reliably) -- left, right, click on 360-degree navigation ball, and a squeeze (great for setting to trigger dashboard or expose). This sounds like a recipe for wrong-button clicks, but they got it down somehow.
Extremely good precision, and incredible battery life. Piece of cake to get a bluetooth match, though it sometimes takes about ten seconds from switch-on. Be advised that, like most optical mice, this one gets confused on a pure glass desktop. That can be cured by putting a piece of paper under it, though, or more traditionally, a mouse pad. Believe it or not, I often use the mouse while seated on the couch, as it works perfectly well if you slide it across cushion or arm upholstery.
Customer Review: Mighty Mouse Surprises with Comfort and Charm Summary: 5 Stars
Looking at the Mighty Mouse online, I got the impression that it wouldn't fit my hand. (I'm used to the Logitech mouse profile that tries to fill your palm up) I also read reviews that the right click doesn't work and that it had shortcomings mechanically. For that reason, I only bought one for my wife instead of buying two. Let me tell you, I need to buy another one for her since I'm using the first one we bought. This mouse is comfortable, the "clicking feel" is satsifying, it was easy to set up and the right click works great (perhaps those reviewers didn't enable the feature- it is optional). Maybe the best thing I like about it is that, even though it has a lower profile that other mouses, it feels like there is more substance in your hand since it it heavier than any other mouse I have used.
I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: great mouse Summary: 5 Stars
this is a great mouse. too many people don't appreciate this mouse. first off, people are whining about the right click, i too have noticed it doesn't work just perfectly, but honestly, i have never found a need for a right click on a mac, will someone explain what is so great about a right click? you can perform the same function by simply holding down on the left button. as for the side button, people think they're too hard to push! it's sad to see humanity become sooo weak and lazy!! you've GOT to be kidding about the side buttons being too hard to click! and someone else here said it was "too heavy" ?? come on people, suck it up, i know you can handle carrying a mouse that weighs a few ounces! this mouse is great, don't listen to the weaklings who can't handle it.
Customer Review: Awesome mouse. Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great mouse for your mac. The battery life is beyond great, it syncs fast right on start up and is very comfortable to use. The scroll ball also works great with very sharp precision. I laugh when I see uneducated reviewers posting things like "Great if I could right click" this statement makes them look dumb to anyone who is computer literate. All you do on any mac to enable right click is go to system preferences and click mouse then select whatever you wish for the mouse buttons. Button one is primary, then set second button to secondary and wow magic you have right click, plus you can customize it however you want. This is a great mouse, very crisp controls and very durable, I would recommend it to anyone, plus it looks sharp with any mac.
