Customer Review: Winner of Quiet and Efficient Typing
Summary: 5 Stars

My old Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite was finally showing its age after keys began to stick or not respond at all. I was also tired of replacing the batteries in the mouse and the keyboard every six months. I decided it was time to get a new keyboard.

My requirements were not to get a wireless keyboard. I decided to go with this one as I am a fan of Apple's products (especially my new Apple 16 GB iPod Touch). I also have a MacBook which has a similar keyboard structure as this one. I love typing on my MacBook and so I figured I would have a similar joy to using something similar with my desktop.

I cannot express how much I enjoy typing on this new one. It is very quiet. I also feel that I can relax my hands and type so effortlessly. The keys do have a short travel but not so much that it makes it feel unresponsive. I highly recommend this product regardless if you are on a Mac or not.

In addition, it's thin, sleek profile make it a very attractive and stylish peripheral on any desktop.

Customer Review: Stylish and functional keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this to replace my plastic white iMac's keyboard (last generation system). The flatness took some getting used to, but once you adapt, you'll enjoy typing on it more. I certainly do. This design is beautiful and takes up less space. The keys feel better to the touch and don't make nearly as much noise.

As with all of Apple's designs, you don't have to sacrifice form for functionality, or the other way around. This keyboard is both stylish AND practical. And at $30, you don't have to suffer much for fashion either. This price is comparable to other keyboards.

The keyboard also supplies 2 extra USB ports, a much needed innovation for a lot of people. The one major downside is that they don't provide enough power to run most of my devices, except for USB memory sticks or mouse. USB-powered hard drives, Wacom tablets, even SD/CF card readers will fail because they require more current than these ports supply, so you'll have to plug them into the computer, or a powered hub.

But keyboards with USB ports are still uncommon, so I do not fault Apple for not giving them more current. I am very happy with this attractive, comfortable, and useful keyboard.

Customer Review: Outstanding Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a killer of keyboards. AND, since I use them so much, I'm also sensitive to good and bad keyboards.

As is my wont, I read the 1 star reviews first. I have to say that I cannot fathom what these people are talking about. The short throw on the key is what makes this thing so responsive. If one's fingers hurt from using a keyboard, you're using a manual typewriter or you're doing something dramatically WRONG. The short throw and silent response suit me just wonderfully, and the keys are MUCH better spaced than on my MacBook, the old Powerbooks or the Duo series.

I'm now into my fourth week with this thing. I'd estimate that I spend at least four hours a day ACTUALLY typing on the keyboard, no hunt and peck, but full volume documentation type writing.

I find, so far, the keyboard to be outstanding, my error rate dropped the instant I started using it (and did my "technical language") and my typing rates increased significantly.

In my experience so far, I can only give this keyboard my highest recommendation.

Once I've had it under my hands for 3-6 months, I'll update this review with the experiences to that date.

Customer Review: Best keyboard i've ever used
Summary: 5 Stars

I've always used Windows keyboards, but when I recently bought a Mac Mini, I wanted to buy a Apple Keyboard to go along with it. This thing is fantastic. The low profile keys, and slim design help me type faster then I already do (135 wpm before this keyboard), I need see how much my typing has improved, but I do feel a difference. It really all comes down to the low profile keys, they are vastly different then the normal keyboards people are use to. Basically think of this as a laptop keyboard, but for your desktop PC.

I also use this keyboard on my Windows machine. Getting it to work was a breeze. It took me all of a minute to find a registry file that someone had created that you just run once, and the apple keyboard will work exactly like a windows keyboard. The command key turns into the Windows key, and ctrl+alt+delete work like they should, etc. The only thing I can't figure out is how to take screen shots of the entire screen with this key.

Otherwise I am very impressed. The design is great, the keyboard looks incredible. It is also very quiet, which is a huge plus, as I am often up late at night and having a noisy keyboard bothers me to no end.

Customer Review: Get used to it very quickly
Summary: 5 Stars

Like many of the five star reviewers for this product it took me a little bit of time to get used to this keyboard.

Having spent hundreds to thousands of hours typing on my traditionally favourite type of keyboard (one with deep keys), it definitely took quite a bit of getting used to.

I had almost resolved to put this in the spares box before deciding to try type up a few articles to try adjust to it. Within a few hours things were getting better and as I type this, after two days' use, I don't think I could go back to typing on the more conventional type of keyboard.

Once you get used to the very soft keys, which are much more shallow than traditional ones, and manage to get your speed back up to what it was on previous keyboard, and faster, you'll appreciate that this is a much better keyboard design. Not only that, but as previous reviewers have noted, the typing fatigue is greatly reduced, if not entirely eliminated.

To anyone who's just bought this product, please stick with it for a few days before you decide what to do with it; you won't be disappointed!
