Customer Review: Does just what it's supposed to
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't know about the problems the other reviewers had - all I can say is that this worked just as expected, right out of the box, and I had no problem connecting my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone, transferring pictures, ringtones, etc. I also use it daily to sync my Outlook calendar to my Z520a, and it works quickly and flawlessly. I will say the Sony has excellent software - maybe that's part of the explanation for the problems others are having.

My phone is near the computer when I use it, so perhaps that's another reason it works so well for me - but it did find all the other Bluetooth phones and Blackberry's that sit in offices near mine, so I would say it's got the range expected for BT - at least 10 meters.

I liked it so well I got a second one - one to leave permanently installed on my home computer (plugged into a USB port on the side of the monitor) and one to use at work which connects to and and travels with my laptop. And if I had the need, I would get a third one without hesitation.

Customer Review: Works With Apple Macintosh Computers!
Summary: 5 Stars

I sure did freak out when I ordered the device and saw only various Windows operating systems listed as supported devices on the back of the package.

But I plugged this into the keyboard of my last-generation PowerMac G4 (running OS 10.4.10), and the Bluetooth System Preference popped up, I followed the set up (about 3 questions) and BADDA-BING! I was up and running!

It took about 33 seconds (35 including the start up) for a 1MB mp3 file (of 1min 12sec in length) to be transfered from my computer to my phone.

It took about the same amount of time to bring the file from the phone back to the computer.

And it took about 1 minutes and 33 seconds to transfer 3.1MBs worth of videos (5 videos) I shot with the cell phone onto the computer.

I have yet to see a flaw with this little product except that it doesn't tell you about supporting Mac's. So far, this product has been working swimmingly with my PowerMac G4.

Customer Review: Great to use with v3xx & HT820 .
Summary: 5 Stars

I decided to buy the Anycom usb-250 because it had the one of the highest ratings and fewest problems reported, compared with similar products. I am happy that I did so, because the 250 works great. I received the usb-250 when promised by Amazon. I did not use the installation cd included in the package, but went to Anycom's web site and downloaded the latest installation version. I bought the usb-250 to use with my v3xx, HT820 headphones and Motorola phone tools. Everything paired up well, I am able to download pictures and mp3's to my phone without using a cable, and I am able to listen to stereo sound off my computer without being tethered. Range seems to be around 25 to 30 ft in my house. All in all, a great product that does exactly what I bought it for and I would recommend this company. Thanks, ric

Customer Review: Flawless installation & operation
Summary: 5 Stars

I sit here listening to Art of Noise on my Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headset as I write this review. The installation of the USB-250 was absolutely flawless on my two year old Sony Vaio laptop (XP Home)on the first attempt. This was my proceedure: 1)I did NOT use the supplied CD driver. 2)I downloaded the latest driver (non-Vista)from the Anycom site but did not run it. 3)I disabled Zone Alarm & Norton Antivirus. 4)I ran the driver program and followed its instructions including inserting the USB-250 when prompted. 5) Finally, I ran the imbedded firmware update.
After rebooting I paired it with the headset and life is good!
All of my programs are working just fine, whether the Bluetooth is on or off.
I only write reviews if I am grossly dissappointed or very impressed.
I'm impressed.

Customer Review: Best Bluetooth Adapter
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this adapter sometime back from amazon at a great deal. first of all the price for this tiny device is awesome and then the feature packed inside justifies every penny spent. the device supports latest bluetooth 2.0 + edr with practically every bluetooth profile in the market. some of the uses are:

* Synchronisation of PDA/Mobile phone and PC
* Network/DSL entrance via Access Points
* Transmission of pictures and blade tones
* file transfer
* Wireless printing and printer sharing
* VoIP applications (e.g. Skype)
* Mouse and keyboard binding
* High-quality audio transmission in MP3 quality

and much more.

the only problem is in order to utilize it fully u need to install a software which may or may not be a problem with lot of users.
