Customer Review: Got a bad one, but the replacement works perfectly

If you saw my review earlier this morning, you would see that I had a one star review on this product because I could not get it to work. I got another one this morning and the set up was just as simple and easy as the USB-200 I got a few months ago. My only conclusion is that a bad one slipped through and I was one of the unlucky ones to get it. To be fair to AnyCom, I decided to delete that review because I am having no problems now.
I had to replace my other one because I broke it due to a bit of negligence on my part. My first attempt at getting a new one to work resulting in errors such as "Your BT device could not start search for devices", or "BT license could not be found". I was up all night trying to get it to work but to no avail. I finally gave up and went to bed. I decided to give AnyCom one more chance so I went to the store to get a replacement. The 2nd time through was much much smoother, no issues at all. To be safe I also bought another USB-200 and that worked fine as well. I was forced to use the software on the CD because testing this out in the store parking lot and I did not have Internet access in the car. Luckily for me the software drivers on the CD worked just fine, albeit a bit outdated (date: 08/05). But as long as it works, I really don't care. Ironically the drivers on the USB-200 are more up-to-date (date: 10/06), and those worked fine for it as well. In reality the drivers for the two devices are exactly the same, I am just guessing the store had some real old USB-250's which would explain the older drivers. In any case, if you want the most recent version then you have to get them from AnyCom's website. I haven't tried them yet because everything is already working fine for me.
Other than that small hiccup with the bad adapter, I still am very pleased with AnyCom's products. No issues at all, easy setup and straightforward instructions.
