Customer Review: What a case
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had the Antec for a solid 4 months and it continues to please. there are quite a few things I like about this case, and only one thing I do not.

Pros:
Sleek design, the blue lights do not overpower you in the dark.
for having two front fans, one top fan, and one back fan, this thing is VERY QUIET!
tight seals for a case (will explain below).
Easy to take apart, drive bays slide right in and out.
Frontal USB hubs provide for easy access
Not too bulky or heavy to lift, also not overly glossy or fancy so it does not show fingerprints or dirt.

Cons:
Inside is a *bit* cramped for space when you've got a non modular power supply
No option to turn the blue LED's off on the fans

Overall this case is a steal, the air ventilation is top notch, the noise is well within reasonable limits, and the case just plain looks good. As I stated above, this case also seals very tight, and boy was that handy when a friends accidentally spilled a solo cup (18.5 oz's) of water right on top of my running PC! Now, no water hit the top fan, or i would not be writing this right now, however, the water got all over the USB hubs, power and reset button, and front of the case, I thought for sure my PC was a goner. I immediately turned off the PC, cut the power, and opened the case. To my amazement there was ZERO water inside the case, the seals had held perfectly. With a cheaper case I am positive the water would have ran right through the cracks and taken parts of the PC with it. Two months later, my once submerged USB hubs still work every time, as well as the power and reset buttons. If that isn't a testament to the case, then I don't know what is. If you decide to purchase this case, you will not be disappointed.

Customer Review: Awesome case
Summary: 5 Stars

I have built several computers and it seems that no matter how large a case I get there is not enough room. This cases finally changed all of that.

First of all, it mounts the power supply at the bottom of the case, with plenty of room at the bottom for cable management. I suppose the purist would say this is a problem because the fan on the power supply would be more likely to suck in pet fur and the like from the ground. However, I found it VERY helpful.

Second, the drives come out the FRONT. This means you do not have to pull out drive cages and the like to work on a single drive. It also means you do not need to pull cards off your motherboard just to add or remove a drive. Previous cases have literally forced me to remove all of the components from my motherboard just to perform drive maintenance.

The room inside the case is plenty. You have the flexibility for cable management, as well as adding the large new video cards without cramping other components.

Of course, this case looks totally cool. Not only do the LEDs on the fans give it an awesome glow, but the fans and air vents keep the insides of this case cool. The 200mm fan on top is just the beginning. There are two fans mounted in the front to provide cool air. Additional fans are also provided to keep your video card and processor cool. In fact, they provided so many fans, I could not find homes for all of them (and each of them had the LED lights in them).

I cannot recommend this case strongly enough for someone who wants to build a serious system. If you just need a case for mom's computer, then go buy something cheaper...this case carries a premium price--and that is without a power supply.

Customer Review: Best case at this pricepoint period.
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been putting systems together for 10 years now and this case is pure joy. Its not too large and not too small. The airflow is excellent and with all the included fans set to low I can only hear the one on my 8800GT. (thinking of replacing vga cooling now!) Simply moving my rig into this case from a no-name mid tower resulted in my cpu load temps dropping from 50-55c to 45-47c max after hours of gaming. Ambient temps followed suit with 5c or so off mobo temps and another 7-10c drop on my 8800. The packaging was robust and arrived in excellent condition despite UPS shipping. The included case hardware is fantastic with plenty of motherboard standoffs and assorted screws etc. Also, all of the drive bays are outfitted with thumbscrews which is a great combination of true 'tooless' designs and the security of screws. No plastic snap in drive mounting and pci slot retainers here. One con is well known with the 900 and that is cable management but that can be addressed with clever positioning of the hard drive racks and some zip ties. My PSU is not modular so I had to spend the extra time to reduce clutter. Also, if you run crossfire or sli setups you may have to be more creative with the drive racks to make sure modern vid cards will fit. However it can be done. The top mountd USB,1394, and audio ports are great and easy to connect. All and all oustanding purchase.
Rig:
AMD phenom II 720 Black Edition, 4gb Mushkin ddr800, corsair 550 PSU, LiteOn DVD burner, 2 Sata HDD, XFX 4850, Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 mobo.

Customer Review: Amazingly quiet air cooled case.
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had mine for about a year now, and I'm in the process of picking out new parts to build a friend a rig. This is the only case I will build a new rig in; I love it that much.

Pro's:
- Relatively small, mid case. Doesn't take up much room.
- very, very quiet despite having several fans.
- amazing air ventilation which keeps an air cooled system healthy.
- rubber opening in the back for water-cooling tubes
- feels solid/sturdy.
- stylish, sophisticated look; yet still sharp looking.

Con's
- can get dusty since there aren't fan filters. However you should be able to clean it out once a year and do find.
- some mobo's have their power connector at the top which can be an issue with some power supplies with shorter wires.

Common complaints & rebuttal
- too tight or hard to work in: - How often do you WORK in a computer? Set up, then maybe an upgrade in a year. Complaining about having to work in a tight area shouldn't be much of a complaint when 350+ other days of the year you have a cool, quiet, well put together computer you don't have to worry about.
- can't fit in large vid cards (8800/9800): - Yes you can. I have 8800GTS' in SLI. No problem. It's tight, but they fit. It took me less than 10 min to add the 2nd one (which includes unhooking everything, pulling it out from under my desk, unscrewing the back, opening, a little dusting, sliding the card in, etc.)

Customer Review: Airflow heaven & quiet
Summary: 5 Stars

The Antec Nine Hundred has been very popular since its release. It features 3 120mm fans (2 up front and 1 in back) as well as a "Big Boy" that vents hot air out of the top that measures a whopping 200mm. Each fan has an adjustable switch that allows you to choose one of three speed settings. In addition, the case will hold another fan on the side panel to cool the video card(s) and another that mounts on the back of a hard drive cage that can be used for either the processor area or video cards. One word of warning for this last fan mount, however, is that if you have long video cards then there won't be room for the fan inside the case.

The one thing that I could see being a problem for some users is that this case is in no way toolless. You must use a screwdriver for everything you install. While some can't stand that, it doesn't bother me and I found assembling my new PC inside the case to be stress free. The power supply is mounted at the bottom which helps make the machine less top heavy while also keeping the supply unit cooler. Airflow is amazing, and with all of my fans set at medium speed you can barely hear them at all. In short, this case is great for almost any build you might have in mind. Unless you plan to really pack a ton of drives and a water-cooling solution space shouldn't be a problem. This is a great case that runs cool and quiet while providing a reasonable ease of use and decent documentation.
