This is an excellent cable. If you have any doubt about whether to dish out $25-$50 for a 'quality' cable, forget it.
If you really want to be a sucker-buy the Monster cable or any other <9' $10+ HDMI cable. It will be your loss.
I should go in to the HDMI cable business. I bet Best Buy is making a fortune on their brands (Amazon is doing it too by the way, with their 'premium cables')
Seriously, you wont notice any difference in picture quality between this cable and the over-priced 'elite' shielded cables.
Plus, Amazon provides a super reliable warranty - in case your kid gets scissor happy or lightning strikes your Blu-Ray player.

I see lots of technical mumbo-jumbo in previous reviews regarding the electrical characteristics and whether it is what is advertised - BTW, I am an electrical design engineer so I understand the mumbo-jumbo quite well. The cable is a perfectly serviceable hdmi cable that is reasonably priced and will work fine for 100% of the users who buy it. There will be some who will complaing because they have nothing better to do than waste their time creating confusion around what is and should be a very simple decision.
Buy the cable, you will like it and it will work as well as a $50 version. You will not notice one iota of difference and you will save $40.

I bought this HDMI cord knowing nothing about the Amazon Basics brand, but to my surprise it has beaten all other HDMI cords I have used, and that with flying colors. The first thing I noticed was the audio quality. I have a Monster HDMI I bought on black friday and I thought it was good but plugging in the Amazon Basics cord I found a dramatic increase in the quality of audio output from my Xbox 360 next I noticed the colors and the amazing way my TV looked with the new cord versus the old one. a bonus was the length I got an extra 3 feet of cord for roughly the same price as the Monster cable. It is the highest quality audio available, and THEN only on some dvd's is it available,but it's good to know you have the right cables for the job when you need it.I've read before in reviews you can only get mono with hdmi cables,but not with these interconnects! I wasn't sure I was believing my eyes, having never seen it before,but with a whole new HD 3D Audio Video Reciever (AVR) or (AV) 7.1 TruSurround Home Theater amp/receiver and a new 3D Led Hdtv,( a pkg all thrown in for free,something I'd never buy)it's brought a whole new world of sound and with only 1 cable,when I'm used to 400$ spent on the 11 cables required on my old system.Customer Review: Excellent Product Despite the Low Price

I have been using Amazon's HDMI cable to hook my TV as an external output for my laptop for when I watch videos. I've only used it a few time, but so far it has been working out better than expected. The video and sound quality is excellent for a cable that is much cheaper than at retail stores. There is little reason to go buy a $30+ cable when you can get this for a fraction of the price. The packaging was minimal but sufficient; a simple cardboard box with a couple of twist ties. Definitely much better than the plastic shells found at retail stores. When I need more HDMI cables, I'll most likely buying more of these.
