We purchased the Kindle for my husband for Fathers Day. We also got the replacement power adapter -- works wonderfully. However, it did take us a couple of minutes to realize the "head" comes off for use with a laptop.

Excellent USB charge. Can supply 850mA from this small adaptor.
This is a dumb USB charger. So don't expect it to charge Sony PS3 controller or PSP, as they require an intelligent USB charger that conforms to the proper USB specs.

I ordered a spare so I can charge at home or work without having to carry it around with me. I like the USB power adapter piece. You can plug any USB cord into it and power/charge your devices like your MP3 players and cell phones.
