Now, I get my best reading done on the treadclimber machine at my health club. My first experience had me surprised to find the machine radically slow down. I checked to find out the reason, and I'd been exercising for 30 minutes already and was on cool down! Now, I no longer end the day feeling, "I didn't even get a chance to read for pleasure." This cover makes the Kindle look and feel almost like a "regular" book. The only problem is that there should be either a hinge in the center or a clip on the right edge to keep from opening the cover backwards, as this will put great stress on both the Kindle and its owner, and might even actually break the Kindle. So far, this item has been very useful. I feel quite secure with my Kindle when it is not in use or when I am transporting it. It makes the Kindle heavier; however, not enough to be objectionable. When it comes to protecting the Kindle DX, the cover is perfectly engineered. It is strong, yet relatively light. It is in no way intrusive when you are using the DX. The mechanism that holds the DX in place is clever, and a simple touch of the top holder removes the Kindle DX when you want to remove it. The Kindle DX Leather Cover is well worth the price for the portection is affords. The Kindle snaps securely into the cover. When closed it provides a high degree of protection all around your Kindle. It also looks terrific. When open the front cover folds all the way around the back, completely out of the way. Magnets hold is firmly in place in either positon. Highly recommended.
