This is one of the best buys I have ever made. It's worth every penny. I love being able to download books direct to my Kindle in 60 secs. I also love the size, the screen quality and the way the page re-orientates in whichever way I want. I take it with me whenever I think I will have a chance to read. Dr's offices etc. and I use it every day at home. The leather cover is wonderful, protects the Kindle very well. The number of books available for the Kindle is excellent and includes many new publications. I am very happy with the standard Amazon leather cover for the Kindle DX. It looks like a fancy book cover when closed, the top cover folds all the way back and under the Kindle when you are reading, the cover is rigid so offers a lot of protection to the device and the Kindle latches into the cover very securely so I can't imagine how it might fall out. Like a book it is open on three sides so if you are in a dusty situation your Kindle could get dirty but I can't imagine having my Kindle out it such a situation, it would be in my carry pack.Customer Review: Don't believe everything you read

I read the reviews and almost passed this item by. I didn't see a better one so I went ahead and purchased. I was very pleasantly surprised. Is this a very fine leather case? No. Is it an excellent, attractive, practical holder for the Kindle DX? ABSOLUTELY. Until something better comes along this is the one. The magnetic clasps are terrific. The attachment to the Kindle is easy and strong. The cover folds all the way back so that the footprint is no bigger than the Kindle when reading. Amazon sells the leather cover for Kindle DX. There is no option to buy a Non-Leather Version.
Please don't forget buyers like myself who are vegans. Please come up with a non-leather version of the same. I don't see why there should be only a single official cover. There can be more versions, probably something colorful, or something understated.
I sincerely hope and wish that Amazon comes up with a Non-leather Kindle DX cover. It's a great product from a great company.
