I can't imagine a better E-book. It has wonderful features that are easy to use. It is so easy to order the books from Amazon, also. I enjoy reading from the KindleDX. I like the leather cover which feels good on my hands and the best part is that it gives my left hand something to do. This is important because I have been reading the bound books for 75 years and have many habits related to that. For one habit: I used to turn the page as I read the last sentence on a page so now I have to remember to slow my right hand down or click "previous page." So far my right hand gets itchy to turn pages but that should change soon.
The gift coupons allow my family to give me the wonderful gifts of books I enjoy!

this is my first e-book, but this cover snapped on cleanly and seems to be of excellent quality - i feel comfortable tossing the DX in my pannier for the ride to work without worry -
edit 10/30/2009: had it for a while now, throw it in my bag, under the seat of my scooter or in my bicycle pannier and never have any trouble or damage - it does add a bit of weight to the kindle, but i quit taking it off simply because i find it comfortable to hold the kindle in it, and it is always ready to be tossed in a bag to go with me - the kindle is a great device and this is a great accessory - it does not have any extra frills like pockets, it just does what i need it to: it protects my kindle from my abuse -

Since receiving my Kindle for Christmas, I have used it daily, love it every second and have told everyone I know who is a bookaphile that this is the best thing that ever happened in my reading life. Being such a lifelong reader, and cherishing books, I hesitated a long time before asking for my Kindle because I thought I needed 'the feel of the book in my hands." How not true! The ease of carrying the Kindle, the amazing speed of ordering and downloading (in seconds) and the feel and hand of the Kindle is more than I could have hoped for. I purchased the Kindle DX on November 2009. Since that date I reviewed several cover options. My main concern with the Amazon cover was the negative reviews I read regarding situations where the Kindle was cracked due to the cover's system of attaching to the device. On January 2010, after much thought, I finally decided to purchase the Amazon cover. I have to say that after receiving the cover and attaching the Kindle it works perfectly. If proper care is taken when opening the cover and flipping it behind the Kindle, there should not be any problem. If you want a nice looking and properly constructed cover for your Kindle Dx, this is the one to buy.Customer Review: Indispensable once you have it

This cover protects the kindle well and becomes indispensable once you start using it. The kindle looks bare and vulnerable without it. The reviews on this item about cracking damages it can cause keep me on guard not to open the cover from the back when the kindle is hooked and snapped on. When someone wants to check out my kindle dx I always remove it from this cover to avoid this mishap. The kindle should not be left to a child or an irresponsible person when this cover is on. But then again I would be careful not to leave the kindle just anywhere with or without this cover. I treat my kindle like I treat my laptop - like a baby.
