After purchasing a Sangean WFR-1 radio for a friend of mine, I can definitely say that this little wonder has provided excellent audio quality and interaction when connecting to my Wifi router was quicker than the one for the Sangean; sound quality is perhaps a bit better since the Aluratek sound is a bit crispier. Price also is great. I read some reviews complaining about the light being too bright. The model I have here has an option that shuts the light off while the system is still working. Remote control is very user friendly. We are now thinking about asking Santa for a 2nd unit in 2009. Cheers!Customer Review: A prayer answered

I live in a radio wasteland. 1 NPR station (which is great) and 2 Classical stations. This fine little fellow has enabled me to cast off the shackles of
opinionated onesided nicompoops and find solace in net space.
It goes everywhere and I love it.
It's bit dicey to get a handle on operation but once done it makes sense. You will need a wireless router for optimum performance.
It's screen is a "blue" that hurts my eyes when searching.
Now I can go to sleep listening to "Lights Out" or New York news.

This internet radio was an excellent buy and at nearly 40% off the regular price. No software or computer to worry about once you set it up, and it already has WiFi built in. I just turn on the radio to listen to any of over 11,000+ internet radio stations that I want to listen to. Ater buying the first one and trying it, I bought two more for christmas gifts for the family and they really enjoy them and use them daily. This is my second brand of internet radio and there is really no comparison as this radio is far superior in function, capability, and performance. I have to tell you this radio went beyond expectations. Had it operational in 10 minutes after taking it out of the box. I was initially concerned: there is a on off button on the back of the unit that you need to depress to turn the unit on. After it was powered up it found my wireless. I simply added my WEP and it connected to its server. Real easy to add favorites stations. Great easy to read display. This thing is cool. Highly recommended, however boo goes out to Amazon who wouldn't credit me five bucks after it went on sale a day after I ordered it. C'mon now.Customer Review: Pretty good for the price...

We've had this about a year. It's a good product for the price. A good way to take your favorite internet radio station to the basement workshop or the garage or the bedroom (as long as your router has enough wifi range).
1) Interface is a little clunky but works -- you connect to your wifi and then it re-connects next time you turn it on.
2) Sound quality is OK, not great. Equiv to a mediocre radio.
3) Device is stable and doesn't crash.
Maybe a good way for people to try out internet radio without spending too much money.
