I can't believe this technology. I just plugged it into the USB port on my laptop at home that's connected to internet and the media browser automatically launched giving me instant access to music stations all over the world. I love the search by region feature which looks sort of like google earth and it allows you to simply click on the region you want to access then lists all the available countries. I use other free internet radio websites but I have yet to find something like this that organizes all the available music by country and genre for you and best of all no advertisements. At first, I didn't think it made sense to pay for something that I can get for free, since you can listen to most if not all of these stations via your browser. There are two things I see as reasons to pay for this. First, all the stations are nicely categorized and easily accessible via this device. Second, and most important, whenever my browser crashes or freezes up, the music keeps playing since I am not accessing the music via my web browser. That happened twice today.
I have Vista and this works fine. You have to deal with Vista's nanny-like security features, but that is not unique to this product.

Having read the favorable reviews in the local newspapers, I decided to get the Aluratek Jukebox. It is wonderful. I plugged it into my USB port and in under a minute I had thousands of choices of stations to pick from. I would recommend starting with the top ten choices in whatever category of music that you like. I wanted to listen to some country music and quickly found a few stations that I enjoyed. Just be aware that if you plan on using the Jukebox at work, some companies block streaming media and then the Jukebox will not be able to deliver its music.Customer Review: fun & interesting

Sure you can look up radio stations on the web yourself, but this has a wide selection preloaded. I like to find a local station broadcasting a big story and get the perspective of the people there living it, anywhere in the world, while it's happening. Also good for eliminating atmospheric static on AM stations at night when you want to listen to a ballgame somewhere out of range. This is so easy to use and has great reception (depending on your wireless service), I bought 3 - one for myself, one for my son-in-law, and one to keep at work. It does everything the ad says it does but better. Just plug it in your computer's usb port and off you go. News and music from all over the world just as clear as the stations from 20 miles away. I love this new toy.
