As far as I can tell, this product worked well. I haven't had any skipping problems since I used the product, but my problem was always intermittant, so I don't know if its really fixed. My problem with the product is the instructions are so ambiguous. "Select track 3 and press play when the music stops". Do they mean, "wait until the music stops, then select track 3 and press play'? When I do that, the cd immediately tells me that the cleaning is complete, about 30 seconds into the cleaning, as opposed to the several minutes they tell you to expect. And what is track 2 for? Nothing? I know they are trying to make it super simple, but a bit more explanation would be very helpful. As it is, I haven't a clue if I'm using the product properly or not.Customer Review: Don't really know

We have a CD player that was not working. I thought cleaning the lens might get it working again. Using this product did not solve my problem, but I cannot say if it did clean the lens or not because the CD player is still not working. The problem could be something else and the CD player now has a clean lens.Customer Review: Didn't work for me.

It's entirely possible that it's just a coincidence, but my DVD player stopped working entirely after I tried to use this cleaner. It would not recognize the cleaning disc, and now it won't recognize anything else either. The directions are pretty straightforward, so I don't think I did anything wrong. I tried the Allsop Cd Laser-lens cleaner and the music CD had skips and bumps
and I think it ruined my CD reader on the hard drive.
I had no trouble reading the CD on my external CD RW.
I do not recommend.
