Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of AT&T 210 Corded Phone, White, 1 HandsetCustomer Review: The best single line phone design ever Summary: 5 Stars
I've loved the trimline phone ever since I got my first phone more than 20 years ago. Then, the trimline was a real, Bell System, telephone. Although this phone is clearly not the same as the real Bell trimline phones, it still has the great, comfortable design and the dialpad in the handset, which makes it an excellent choice. I've compared several other trimline phones and this is the closest phone I could find to the original Bell phones.
Northwestern Bell also makes a trimline phone, but the quality and comfort are nowhere near this AT&T version.
If you read the other reviews, you will see that at least one review (dated November of 2004) says that this phone was discontinued. Yet, here we are in late November 2004, and its still around. I'm guessing (could be wrong here) that this phone will be around forever, even though AT&T no longer promotes it on their web-site.
Customer Review: Great little phone! Summary: 5 Stars
I needed to replace the phone in the kitchen for my landline (yes there are a few of us left who still have one) and I didn't want a large cumbersome-looking cordless phone and have to look at that hideous power wire running down my wall to one of those bulky-looking transformers. I just needed a basic phone without a lot of frills and extras and I didn't need one with a built-in answering system because I already have one connected to my desk phone. The AT&T corded phone was just right for what I needed and the price was right! It has clear sound and an audible ringer, both of which have a high-low volume adjustment. I recommend this phone to anyone looking to add or replace an existing phone anywhere in their home -- and it also can be used on a desk/table top.
Customer Review: classic american phone! Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent phone that is comfortable and provides a quality sound. I just installed one in my kitchen and you wouldn't believe how many people comment on it. Seems like everybody grew up with one of these in their homes.
The cord to me is actually a positive thing, since I'm able to get off the phone a lot quicker and don't waste as much time as if people called me on a cordless. "Hey, on a corded phone, gotta go," is all it takes for me to hang up and go on about my business.
If you're looking for something that works well for short phone calls, this is a great phone. Doesn't take up much space and it sounds great!
Customer Review: An "old dependable" Summary: 5 Stars
This phone is strong and sturdy (though over the years I've managed to break one or two by repeatedly dropping them) and has all the basic features I want, including the three easy-to-program speed dials, the redial button, the volume control, and -- for me the most useful of all -- a switch to turn off (or to simply lower the volume on) the electronic ring, so I can let the answering machine pick up calls when I'm asleep. And of course a land-line phone is not going to be useless if the electricity ever goes off. I seem to recall that this model may once have come in brown, and apparently it doesn't anymore; I do miss that. Otherwise, it's ideal.

AT&T Trimline 210 Telephone (White)
Our old Southwestern Bell wall mount phone was failing, so we selected a GE phone at Walmart. We could never keep the phone from falling off the hook when we hung it up. We have been happy over the years with our other Trimline phones so replaced the GE with this model. No complaints. No whistles or bells, but a nice plain reliable phone. Keep it up AT&T. We also purchased an AT&T rechargeable phone and answering machine combo and it is perfect, too. AT&T knows what they're doing with phones.
