Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of A-DATA Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card

Customer Review: don't hesitate, this is a great product
Summary: 5 Stars

i'm sorry to those who feel they may have received a class 2 card. i bought mine and had it shipped for a great price, and i received the product that was advertised: a class 6 16gb sdhc card. it works perfectly in my canon sd1000 camera. i bought it last august for my semester in europe, and i was able to take thousands of pictures and plenty of video without deleting a single one. shooting was a breeze - quick and snappy. i backed up my pictures every week or so just in case, but it wasn't necessary. here i am a year later and i still haven't deleted a single picture. my camera still says i have room for 9999 pictures (just means i can hold more pictures than the camera can count). the startup for picture viewing can become sluggish with so many pictures on the camera, but it should not be a problem once i clear the card. not too much else i can say about the product. i hesitated at first because i didn't know the brand, but at that price i was willing to take a chance. if you're thinking about it, buy it. if you don't, you're passing up a great bargain.

Customer Review: Excellent!
Summary: 5 Stars

So far, I've seen mixed reviews here on Amazon for this product and I can't understand why. Perhaps adata has a bad quality control that some batch are flawed? All I can say is that I've used mine for my Canon XSi, Canon VIXIA HF200 HD camcorder, helmet cam, and everything else that can handle an SDHC card and found nothing wrong with it.

It's fast and does what it's supposed to do. I really can't complain. I've had this card since the prices on the 16GB first dropped --that's how long I've owned it. Right now, I'm actually thinking of getting another one or just waiting for the 32GB prices to drop because these 16GBs still run for $30~ which was the price I paid months ago. I have a feeling 32GBs will soon be dropping in prices. I'm already starting to see some hit the $60 mark from the $100+. If I can wait, I will. If I can't, I will be buying one of these again.

Customer Review: The product works great (as long as you have a compatable high capacity reader)
Summary: 5 Stars

I found that not all high capacity readers could read the card. I bought the product for my nokia GPS so that we can play all our MP3's. The Nokia device read it just fine, however, I could not plug the device into my pc and get a drive letter assigned for this specific size sd card. Therefore, I did have trouble loading my files onto it for a while. After many attempts and many readers, I found that the SanDisk 12-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader from Staples was the only one that was able to read the card. There are probably other readers out there that work. I was just limited by the number of card readers I can actually purchase without going crazy. The card itself was fantastic. It worked very well with my Canon Powershot camera...even when downloading the pictures.

Customer Review: Class 6 SD card rocks!
Summary: 5 Stars

I received this card several weeks ago after finding out that a 17 year old wrote a driver for my Palm TX to allow it to read SDHC cards. This card holds so much that I no longer need to carry a bunch of regular SD cards. The only problem that I encountered isn't the fault of the card. Almost all of my card readers, even the one in my HP printer, wouldn't read it because it is a High Capacity (SDHC) card. Once I located one compatible with SDHC cards, it has been great. The transfers are quick, considering that I mostly transfer complete movies to the card. I use CloneDVD Mobile to create Palm versions of my DVDs to play on the Palm TX. The movies are each about 500 megs, so I can carry a lot of movies on a 16 GB card. So far it has been a great purchase!

Customer Review: Video Amateur
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought A-DATA 16 GB SDHC Class 6 flash memeory last month and used it on Panasonic ZS3 camera. Both still photo and video caputures are fine. I am happy with the product so far. It is a cheaper product than other brands.

I am able to download the photos and videos from the camera to laptop via USB port. My laptop has a memory card reader but I cannot read this memory card directly to pc for some reason. I haven't tried other memory cards either; therefore, I don't know if it is my laptop's card reader limitation or not. My laptop is 2 years old.

Any how, I can transfer the data from the memory card to pc via USB port serves my purpose. For the price $ 30.00 I paid, it is a great value for the money.
