Customer Review: Don't believe the negative reviews about the screws

I was nervous about ordering this enclosure because of all the comments about bad screws, but am I glad I bought this enclosure. I had NO problem whatsoever with the screws. You just have to use the right screwdriver-one that's just the right size. If you don't have one, just go to the dollar store and get a set. It seems to me that the people who had trouble, either in stripping a screw or not being able to get the screws out properly, used a screwdriver too big or too small. It was so easy to remove the screws holding the mini-USB socket/front panel. Once I took that off, I followed the directions in the little installation guide and connected my laptop drive to the connector projecting from the inside of the front panel, slid the drive into the case and screwed the panel to the enclosure. It was that easy. By the way, I saw comments from people who bought this enclosure or other ones similar to it, about their drives being too thick. I bet those people didn't remove the mounting frame from their drives before starting. Anyhow, Once I secured my laptop drive inside the enclosure, and I mean secured-it was a nice snug fit-I plugged the main USB end of the cable into a powered hub and the other mini-USB end into the enclosure. Immediately, the bright blue, almost purple LED started blinking away, indicating healthy drive activity. I was able to explore the contents of the drive immediately. The total time, from removing my drive from its laptop mounting frame to connecting the drive to the connector and screwing in the front panel then plugging the cable ends, was about three minutes! I am VERY happy with this enclosure.
Way to go, Acomdata, and thanks to Amazon for selling this nice, inexpensive adaptor!
