Customer Review: Works great!
Summary: 4 Stars

We've had our EP5632 for about two weeks now and love it! Our house has very bad cell reception, so there are only a few places where the cell phones work. We put the base station where we get good cell reception, then plug the phones into their chargers there. Now we can use the phone all over the house without having to pay for a land line. The phone works as advertised -- it's breathtakingly simple to pair your bluetooth phones to the base station, and once paired it's equally easy to place and receive calls using either cell.

There are downsides, however:
* The base station and the handsets don't share a common database of phone numbers. That means you have to type in each contact into each handset. Very annoying.
* As noted in some other reviews, the pairing can occasionally flake out, resulting in having to delete and re-add the phone. This doesn't happen very often, though.
* The "cellular" button is at the bottom-right of the keypad on the handsets, and must be used to make and receive cellular calls. Not very intuitive -- you naturally want to go for the top-left (green) button to pick up the phone.

Other than those minor inconveniences, however, a highly recommended product.

Customer Review: Short battery lifespan
Summary: 4 Stars

My husband bought this for my home office and we love it because it provides all the essentials in such a nice, clean & professional package. Only issue I have with this is that given the long conference calls I'm participating in every week day, the battery on the handset simply didn't stand up. One of the other reasons for my husband's selection of this unit is that there is a battery charging station under the cradle, which is more than handy.

However, after purchasing one of the replacement batteries here on Amazon and using it for about a month, now both batteries die in less than 2 hours of talk time with the handset. That is our only complaint with the unit. Battery life is abysmal at best. If you get the second handset with charging station, plus a replacement battery (giving you 3 total batteries) then you'll be able to make it through the day using a headset attachment. Otherwise you'll be forced to put the phone on the table next to you so you can use the hands-free feature. Just make sure you've got the dog put away and the TV sound turned off before getting on your calls.

Customer Review: Great Product, Use with Headset Flaky
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased the AT&T EP5632 phone to use with my cell and office phone for my small business. It does a great job connecting to my cell and operating in that manner but when you try to use my Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology [Retail Packaged], the headset cannot be used with the connected cell phone. When I disconnect my cell and try to use both with the headset independantly, it seems to fight with the AT&T phone for the headset. The AT&T EP5632 phone would be a better product if it let me use both the cell and home line through the headset but that being said it is a wonderful product to use. Also, I'd love if it could sync my contacts to the directory on the phone. It may be able to do that but I haven't found a way yet.

Customer Review: One phone simplifies life
Summary: 4 Stars

I've really enjoyed the phone, especially the ability to connect to my cell phone to receive and make calls. The price beats anything else with bluetooth by $20-30. And it is pretty durable -- I've knocked the handset to the floor several times while wearing a headset and the call doesn't disconnect and no parts fly off.

Things I don't like (but only caused me to deduct 1-star) are:

- mic quality on speakerphone is bad
- no way to exchange phone books between handset and base or between cell phone and cordless phone
- time keeps changing time zone based on caller id of person who calls (don't understand this but is mentioned in user guide)
- can't use handset when phone is charging (disconnects call so you have to make sure you pick up on the base before dropping the handset in the charger)

Customer Review: Nice phone!

Ok, here is what you can do with this. This is just about the blue tooth function. You can use a blue-tooth headset but, when you have your cell phone connected and you get a call, you can only use the handset or the speaker phone on the base. You cannot answer your cellphone when connected to the att phone with your blue-tooth headset. You also can not call out using the blue-tooth headset if you choose to place a call using your cell phone. This is not a problem for me because I don't care if someone has my home number (caller Id). If you were using it for business and were working from home you many not want someone to have your home # and would call from your cell. In this case you can use the handset or base but not the blue-tooth if you use your cell when connect to the att phone. Hope this helps.
