If your like me and don't hate to hold the phone up to your ear physically for a long conversation for a long period of time? Then this is the phone for you. I use bluetooth headsets with my cellphone every chance I get. Around the house when I'm on the road. I have two kids so I need to keep my hands free to do stuff for them a lot especially around the house. I hate leaning my neck to the side to hold the phone to use both hands especially for a long period of time. I get a cramp in my shoulder after awhile. So I bought a phone that uses a wired headset and that works fine off and on. But the wire was getting in my way sometimes for certain stuff I would want to do around the house and clipping the phone to my pants wasn't working because if I bend or stretch the wrong way it would fall off. So when I saw this house phone with bluetooth I had to have it. I know bluetooth can be a little static sometimes but it does help if your very active around the house and try to talk on the phone at the same time. It will pair with a wide variety of bluetooth models but only some may give you a clear no static signal without echo. I have a Jawbone,Motorola 700, Jabra something model? and a few others I can't remember? These seem to work the clearest and furtherest from the base station. But right now I'm using the Motorola HT820 it's the regular stereo headphone sized headset that lets you hear the persons voice on both sides and you can use it to listen to music from you bluetooth stereo if you have one. Setting up the bluetooth part maybe a little frustrating off and on until you get used how the phone works but still a great phone to have.

Customer Review: Just what I needed

After several months of going over on minutes calling the home phone instead of my wife's cell phone, I decided that this phone would quickly pay for itself by finally taking advantage of our free mobile to mobile minutes. I was right. Now I just call her cell phone and she can hear it ring anywhere in the house. It is easy to make and receive calls from this device on either the land line or a cellular line and is very easy to setup. Tons of extra little features not even mentioned in the discription have made it even better for us. For instance, my old Motorola expandable system would only allow one handset to be in use at a time. This one allows all the handsets to function on one line, or, you can even make calls on the land line while someone is talking using the Bluetooth connection on a cellular line. Another advantage is being able to review messages from any handset. A message pops up as you are reviewing the caller id which invites you to review the message left by that caller. I wish I had bought this a year ago! The only disadvantage I have noticed is that phones regularly connected to the landline cannot receive cellular calls. In order to receive celluar calls on all phones, you will have to replace them with these handsets. Landline calls will work normally with old handsets.

Customer Review: Love it!

I bought this phone this week (actually, I used some reward points to get it). And i just installed it in my attic office today. I use a cell phone for work and wanted a speakerphone for frequent conference calls. I was not planning to use it for a land line, but that might change - read on.

So, I set up this phone in the attic. It is not connected to a land line and connected to my cell phone (AT&T Tilt). It took me all of 1 minute to get set up and I was able to place calls through this phone as well as receive calls through it.

The best part about it is that I forgot my cell phone downstairs, i.e., on the ground floor and was still able to use this phone in the attic (third floor)! Amazing.

I love it so much that I am planning to get the extension handsets and replace my existing land line phone set we use at home. We use our cell phones for long distance calls, and this phone is an amazing solution for people like me.

Buy it! I am not too concerned about entering phone number contacts, etc. as some of the reviews have said - for most of the basic functionality, this phone is hard to knock.

Customer Review: Good so far

The only problem I had was figuring out how to enter access codes & pin numbers. I flip back and forth between the main unit and the handset, using the hold button at times to bring up additional numbers in the directory.

I get lots of complaints from people on the other end when I use my wireless headset though. Sounds like they hear everything amplified. Not sure if it's the headset or the phone. (Motorola Bluetooth 700)

Can't get very far from the base unit with the wireless headset. Signal gets lost and reception deteriorates quickly. Can't even go upstairs with the wireless headset (small house).

And to answer with the headset, I usually have to hit the headset button from the base. Can't sent to headset from the handset, only the base. But it seems like a good phone. Will end up using the wired headset more than hoped for, but at least it has a plug in for it AND a belt clip. Started down this path when the belt clip on my last phone broke . . . quite an expensive replacement system for a broken piece of plastic.

Customer Review: Save Money..!!..
Summary: 5 Stars

System works as promised and then some. Creates a whole new communications flow. Sometimes reconnect takes a few minutes. However, I have a four year old cell. Looking forward to my next stimulus package so I can buy one - two remotes for the convenience. System is feature rich and there's always another trick around the corner. Cell quality through the connection is super clear. ATT could save a printing bundle and just give us a video web site with focused simple hands on instructions. But hey, putting the book in the drawer and being intuitive is what digital life is all about. Oh yeah, the money angle. Switched to Windstream Greenstreak with the 3Mb package and cut my phone bill in half. Keep your established current number for all incoming calls, 411, and toll free outgoing for only $10 more than DSL only. I took way too long to complete a "thorough analysis" of the available systems, prices, concepts, etc. Mission Accomplished...at least for this small household..!!..
