When you need a phone during an emergency or power outage, when you want a phone that is reliably located on the "base" where someone hasn't walked away with the handset, this is the IDEAL phone! The phone comes with a longish cord to plug into the phone base and phone jack. If you need the standard short cord to use with a typical wall mounted base there is a slot under the base to wrap the cord instead of providing a shorter second cord. I like this! It's nice that companies are engineering with cost savings in mind! The phone comes with pulse and tone dialing (needed to use computerized dialing.)Customer Review: Great Simple Phone

If you are looking for a very basic phone - if you do not care about speaker phones, 2 lines, answering functions and the like, this is a great phone. What it does, and will do both perfectly and forever with great clarity of sound, is it will answer all the calls coming into your line, and will dial all your calls going out. It is powered through the phone line, so you do not need a outlet. And, actually, the white version is under [...] - black cost a little more. If you are old as I am and are use to things like phones and refrigerators lasting more than 20 years, this is the phone for you.Customer Review: Great, simple little corded phone!

This is a fantastic little phone for the price. The design is simple but the sound is crystal clear. It isn't loaded down with a bunch of complicated features that make it difficult to operate or that can tear up. Everyone needs at least one corded phone because cordless phones don't work during a power failure, and this AT&T phone is an excellent choice for a corded phone. I use it in my bedroom, and I feel secure in knowing it will work if I wake up during the night and need to make an emergency call. I purchased two of these phones, one for my Mom, and one for me. My mother is elderly, so I bought this phone for her because it has three buttons on the top row of the keypad especially for emergency numbers. Also, since it has a programmable memory, she can easily access family members cell or home phone numbers. This particular A T & T model phone has always proven to be reliable and long-lasting, so I know my money hasn't been wasted. They last much longer and the quality of sound is much higher than most portable phones.Customer Review: Great little phone in its simplicity!

The box says the AT&T 210 Trimline is the best selling phone of all time, and I can see why. It's reliable and doesn't have a bunch of complicated instructions and programming to follow. It has good clear sound, and the handset has adjustable volume, which makes it good for the hearing impaired. Cordless phones seems to be gaining in popularity, but everyone needs at least one corded phone in their house for in case of a power failure. This simple, inexpensive little phone is an excellent choice!
