Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of AT&T 210 Corded Phone, Black, 1 HandsetCustomer Review: When the power goes out.... Summary: 5 Stars
Wireless battery operated phones are vulnerable to power outages. Cell phones do not direct 911 services to your physical address. When a child dials 911 using your household phone line, 911 personnel are directed to your address whether or not the caller can identify themselves or their location. Without a phone that is exclusively powered by the phone line you may not be able to contact emergency services during power outages. This phone is our emergency phone and stays plugged in at all times. Everyone home needs an emergency phone line when modern day communication fails. It does the job as expected in this role, buttons and numbers are visible in the dark and most of all it does not rely on cell phone towers or electricity. But don't just rely on my review. Call your phone provider to find out exactly how reliable your local and/or mobile phone service is during a power outage or an emergency.
Customer Review: Very Basic But Super Clear Phone Summary: 5 Stars
When my cordless phone broke after 3 years of continuous use, I starting searching using google and amazon to find the most reliable and clearest phone. It is difficult to decide because the reviews are conflicting.
Finally, I chose AT&T 210 Trimline because it is cheap and still works even without electricity. I'm glad that I ordered it because the sound is so clear, much clearer than my previous cordless phone.
This phone is also very basic and this means there are no complicated instructions to follow. A few numbers can be programmed using this unit.
And since I'm not at home all the time, I decided to buy an answering machine, also from AT&T (model 1722) which works by the way, perfectly despite of the negative reviews.
Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.
Customer Review: Good, solid basic phone for the money Summary: 5 Stars
My portable phone finally went haywire so I decided to buy this corded phone since I don't really need a portable and all the static that comes with it. This AT&T phone is a basic design, feels sturdy and works very well with clear sound. No static, no distortion, no sounding like people are in the distance or speaking from a straw or whatever, it sounds just like the good old solid phones we used to have before all the portable junk started spreading all over the place. I accidentally dropped it when answering a call and it came out unscathed. If you want a solid, basic phone without bells and whistles, buy this one. Actually, it does have the ability to program thirteen numbers (a feature I used successfully) so it does have some bells and whistles.
Customer Review: Very basic, but very good. Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, so you've got your four-line, 2.4GHz Digital Spread Spectrum cordless phone with 100-number memory and built-in answering machine. And then the power goes out. Or you loose the handset in the couch cushions. Or you forget to charge it. Or you can't even figure out how to turn the darned thing ON. That's what the Trimline is for. It's a cheap, reliable, easy backup phone. The adjustable volume makes this thing really loud, and the backlit keypad is a feature somehow missing in my expensive cordless. And I like having a phone that's tethered, so I always know where to go when it rings. The memory works, but I don't think the people who buy a phone like this will use it much (I have only one number in mine, plus the emergency numbers.)
Customer Review: Great little corded phone! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a magnificent little phone for the price. The sound is crystal clear. This phone is simply made and doesn't have a lot of complicated features that can make it difficult to use or tear up. This is just a standard old reliable phone. I also like the classic design. Everyone needs at least one corded phone because cordless phones do not work during a power failure. This AT&T 210 is an excellent choice for a corded phone. The lighted keypad is also a plus. I keep this phone in my bedroom, and it's so handy for waking up in the night and needing to make a call. I would definitely recommend this phone for any household.
