I bought this and received it a couple weeks ago. I don't know what all the other reviewers are talking about when they say the voice quality is not so good, because it seems to be crystal clear to me. They must not have hooked up the DSL filter to the machine. If you follow insturctions and do what you are supposed to, you would not have any problems.
The only thing I would change about the machine is the fact that the time/date stamp is at the END of each message, and I would rather it be at the beginning.
Overall, this was money well spent.

After looking over my phone bill two months ago, I could not believe what I was paying for. I cancelled every feature to the point that I now only get incoming calls. Just like the good old days, well almost. I still like to get messages while I am away from home, so I invested in this little machine and it is easier to get my messages than when I had it on my phone service!! I can even call and get them while I am away from home. For under $20, this little machine saves me about $6 a month. That adds up to $72 a year. Better service, less money?? I bought this AT&T digital Answering Machine because it had the features I wanted in a small package for an excellent price. When I first installed it there was a lot of static. But when I put a DSL filter on the line the static disappeared and the voice quality is outstanding! Buy extra DSL filters if you need them (we have 3 DVRs all with a caller-ID feature that need this filter) and put them on EVERY other device you have that plugs into the phone line. Bought this Answering sytem to replace a 25 year old answering machine that quite working.
The AT&T system was very easy to setup, I had it setup without the instructions in about 5 minutes Works great has nice sound quality. Works every time. Unlike a GE Answering Machine we purchased 6 months ago! It would go though all the motions of recording a message. But when we checked the machine it didn't have any.
I highly recommend this product.

My father moved into a new apartment and needed an answering system. He wanted something simple. He received it quickly but says he is having problems getting the volume where he wants it. Since I live out of state...I can't help him get everything set up...but I will visit him soon and take care of it if he has not done so himself. He liked the look of the product and said he is sure all will work out fine. All and all I am pleased with the purchase.
