I agree with other reviewers who say that APC markets too many models, each one with a slightly different set of features. Had to do a lot of research to finally select this item. I expecially like the large wattage capacity and the led front panel that shows a lot of the operating parameters. It has been installed for several months with no problems. The operating system is windows 7 and I downloaded the latest computer software/drivers from the APC website. Great product, especially for the price.Customer Review: Heavy, with lots of power

I bought this to replace my existing LS-500 because it was being overtaxed. This device has a huge runtime and was literally plug-and-play with my old LS-500. No software changes necessary. The box is quite heavy though, so you'll need to keep that in mind when lifting the box, or when placing the device into service. I love having the screen on the front that I can turn on to see status of the device, and was happy that the fans in the back only run when operating on batteries. This unit has worked flawlessly several times in the 6 months I've owned it. It weighs a ton, like all good UPS's, but it is very sturdy. Works great for the little flickers that plague my neighborhood. The power blinked for the briefest moment during the Superbowl, but the DirecTV was plugged into this and never faltered. The lights all went out, but the TV and satellite stayed strong and I was spared the 10 minute DirecTV boot up ordeal during the middle of the 3rd quarter.Customer Review: Nice UPS Back Up

These are my favorite units currently for keeping a few of our networked PC's and a server running until we can safely shut them down. We have 4 of them and they worked great with the recent storm we had in Northern California. One unit runs our Lucent phone system and because the display tells me how much time we have left, I know at what point we are going to loose our office phones so we can work normally until that time and then call forward our phone lines to a cell phone.Customer Review: APC BR1500LCD

I purchased this back up system to protect a 32 inch LCD TV. It may be more that I needed but I selected this model because of it`s ability to provide protection for this and any future applications. APC is the only brand I trust and use. APC quality combined with Amazon prices made this decision a no brainer. TV`s, computers or any other electronics you want to protect, with this one you can not go wrong. I highly recomend this product.
