The capacity is superb. I'm at 34% and I've got a desktop (Quad Core/8GB Ram/2 monitors), NETGEAR ReadyNAS Pro 6-Bay 1.5TB (3 x 500GB), and NETGEAR GS108 ProSafe 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch plugged into it.
The provided USB cord worked automatically with the ReadyNAS, so when the power goes out it'll shut down safely. An added bonus the ReadyNAS will also email me if the APC Back-UPS has any problems (which is how I found out I needed to replace my old one).
The front panel display gives you lots of nerdy information. While most of it you'll never need to know, it's really nice for the once in a blue moon you do.

This UPS is absolutely fantastic.
I've had these installed for about a dozen people in our engineering department for a couple of months. Previous UPS's had apparently had circuitry problems due to being undersized for the Dell Precision Workstations that they were attached to. This ups is capable of keeping the workstation and monitor up for better than 30 minutes and appears to handle quick brownouts and surges with no problem. The informative LED display on the front is handy for seeing what is going on with the unit without the need for loading additional software on the computer. The mute button on the front is a Godsend to quiet the incessant beeping when the power goes out.
We'll see how long the battery holds up but so far everything about it looks top shelf.

Very happy with the product. Software was easy to install and Amazon delivered the product right on time.. Love the led display and functionality that comes with the unit. I monitor the wattage window during most sessions..Prior to the installation of this product, I had no idea what kind of wattage my system was consuming. I had replaced my video card with a gamer card which has its own fan for cooling and I was not sure my power supply was up for the job.. Upon installing this product and viewing the wattage window, I was pleasantly surprised that I was not using near what I thought.. I'm well within spec of the rated power supply output.. After much research, I decided to purchase this unit online, and was very pleased with the entire process, The unit arrived quickly,and in perfect condition. The only glitch was that upon installing the softwre disk that came with unit I soon discovered that it was not compatible with Windows Vista. I contacted APC and they sent me the registry key to uninstall program,which went smoothly. I later downloaded the Vista compatible version, and have had it working to pefection. It shuts down my programs flawlessly upon a blackout. I would highly recomend this unit for anyone looking for great power and surge protection for any valuable electronic devices they may own.Customer Review: Excellent Backup Power Supply

Perfect unit for my MacPro setup. Keeps the phone, computer, flat panel screen, cable modem and router all running when we get those dips and cuts from ConEd!
Had a Belkin 1100VA unit that was garbage, couldn't reliably see what the status was, battery died without me knowing until the next cutoff (and one month after warranty expiration)
Love the LCD gimmick, just push the display button to see how many watts you're using anytime - handy for checking startup and disk activity power consumptions.
