Although it took some figuring out how to extend the legs of the lights, everything was as described. The background screen is a little cheesy, so I'll probably not use it. Love: The way this folds up and packs away so easily.
Love: the bright lamps that have convenient storage pockets.
Love: the way the part the camera screws onto rotates over a wide range.
Like: the white surround, which diffuses the lamplight beautifully (although I still have to add additional lighting from the top sometimes because this isn't always enough).
Don't like: The background. It has a visible crease in the middle, and unless you're photographing very tiny items virtually from the top, the edges tend to creep into the photos. Blue and gray are not always the best colors for item photo backgrounds. I drape fabric behind and around the items I photograph to make the photos look good.
Don't like: the relatively short lamp cords.
Don't like: the height of the camera stand. It's way too tall, particularly given that it adjusts upward. I had to purchase one of those mini-stands for my camera to make more pictures work with this photo box.
This box would work best for very, very small items that need to be photographed from the top and for which a blue or gray background is appropriate. That's a bit narrow-purpose, but this is still a nice photo box for the price you pay.

This studio is very portable and that is nice for traveling. The main problem I have is the "seemless" backround they give you has a huge crease in it and it makes it not a seemless background. I cannot get the fold out of it so I have to use something else for the background I guess. Just a little warning. Other than that it's a pretty convenient little portable set up.
