This True Fidelity NC200 model (non-foldable) is a good new entry level product. I did quite a bit of research to find a pair of headphones that my hard-of-hearing father could use to watch TV without blasting whomever might be in the same room with him. These were the ones I finally ended up buying and they were a great buy (at $70 at the time). $99 is pretty much MSRP, and not really a deal at this higher price. To cut-to-the-quick, my father is now always telling me how wonderful they are (sincerely) and my mom loves them because she can turn the TV volume down or off depending on what she is doing. They have been using these for about 6 months now. These have helped reduce tension between them too. At 91 and 85 y/o, patience is not what it use to be. :( They absolutely did the job, especially the noise canceling feature. I avoided the 'wireless' headphones because of sound quality issues for some people, plus the wireless are more expensive. Just buy a long (25 ft or so) extension from Amazon.com and run the cord around the perimeter of the room or under the carpet to avoid the cord being tripped over by someone. See: RiteAV 25 ft. 3.5mm Extension Cable or the 50ft extension cord at: RiteAV - 3.5mm Extension Cable - 50 ft. cord and if you need to plug into an RCA jack connector then "2 x RCA Male / 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable, 6 inch" All relatively inexpensive ways around the wireless issue.
