I actually switched to using the mouse with my left hand because my right wrist had gotten so enflamed. Then my left wrist started causing me problems. I had to find a solution, not just a temporary band-aid.
I ordered this after reading a recommendation from my company's ergonomic website. Three days after I started using it (with my right hand, mind you), my wrist pain went away.
I have ordered this model for my home computer and may yet order a third to use with my laptop. If you are chained to a computer for any length of time I would definitely recommend this product.
I would definitely be interested in a wireless model.

I didn't have carpal tunnel syndrome, but rather tendonitis in my wrist and forearm. I do a lot of typing at work and was miserable. Using an ergonomic keyboard was only marginally helpful. I bought this mouse a couple of years ago. By the end of the first day I started using it, the pain had diminished. By the end of the first week, the wrist and arm pain were gone and still have not returned. I bought a second mouse for my home computer, and also gave one to a friend of mine who suffered from similar pain. His pain disappeared too. I used the previous generation of this mouse for three years, and loved it. This newer model is exactly the same but with an updated black color and adapter so it can be used in either a USB or I/O port. This is a great alternative for anyone who has wrist or hand discomfort when using a traditional mouse. Other ergo mice have not worked for me...the 'big red ball' style, etc. I need something that takes all of the pressure off of my wrist on the palm-side. This is literally the only product I have ever found that is designed for that. I highly recommend both the effectiveness and reliability of this product.Customer Review: Never so happy...

This is my second purchase of this mouse. After having carpal-tunnel surgery on my right hand this mouse was suggested to me and boy am I glad my employer was willing to let me give it a try. The computer program that I use requires constant use of the mouse and if I have to use someone elses system and a regular mouse by the end of the day my hand and wrist ache. My employer got mine installed right after I had the surgery on my hand and I have full use and strength in that hand unlike a co-worker who came back and went straight back to a regular mouse. I had a 'career-ending' injury 8 years ago. I had severe bilateral tendonitis from fingertip to shoulder; at one point it felt like I had sparks shooting from my fingers to my shoulders. I started using this mouse 2 years later while in school (to 'retrain for a new career') and I simply cannot live without it. This is the ONLY mouse I can use. Today I have minimal elbow discomfort and work full time, all of which is spent on my computer. I cannot tell you how important this product is for people with RSI. Most of my coworkers now use it as well.....
