Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator PE (Personal Edition) 3D Navigation Device USB ( 3DX-700029 )Customer Review: Easy to use, essential peripheral! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this device recently to use with Google Earth and Secondlife. It was incredibly easy to use, right out of the box with no learning curve in either application. It makes 3D viewing, navigation and movement very intuitive. It is a solid piece of equipment yet occupies very little space on your disk or keyboard tray. For the relatively small price, the benefit is huge. Recommended!
Customer Review: Great for 3D Application (SolidWorks) Summary: 5 Stars
This product is well made and very intuitive. I absolutely love it. A co-worker purchased this device, and loan it to me for a few days. The device is very small with a solid base. These are great features for someone who uses it between school and home. This is a must device if you are using a 3D application like SolidWorks! On the negative side, the price can be lower.
Customer Review: 3D mouse works great Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this device at a class I attended for an Autodesk program here at work caled Navisworks. This device will turn your work into a video game. When looking for "plug and play", this device is so easy to configure and start using in 5 minutes! I didn't even need help from a 12 year old to get it going. I did it all myself! Highly recommended!!
Customer Review: 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator for Second Life Summary: 5 Stars
This "joystick" is awesome when used in Second Life. It moves, guides and flies your avatar. Even better, it allows you to cam smoothly across the sim, through walls, below the surface and even 100s of meters into the sky. Great for making "movies" or simply for exploring. Highly recommended! (Be sure to watch the Torley Linden tutorials.)
Customer Review: Worked as promised Summary: 5 Stars
Functions well. Does take getting used to, like with anything new. Basically a joystick without the stick to grasp. Zooming the camera through Google Earth and Second Life is fun. Moving an avatar within Second Life is a bit trickier, but smooth once you get the hang of it. Good possibilities for working with those who have limited mobility.
