Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator PE (Personal Edition) 3D Navigation Device USB ( 3DX-700029 )Customer Review: Intuitive two-handed control Summary: 5 Stars
Being a designer in Solidworks, I use this interface alongside my Wacom tablet. Though both-handed, it's not so complicated as it might sound, kinda like turning a pin cushion around in your hand & jabbing at it with the pen. Simply put, it's just what I've been searching for. In fact, the worst thing I can say is that it won't work in browsers. Jumping out of 3D-apps & into Firefox is kinda like waking up from a good dream. If anyone writes a plug-in, please let me know!
Customer Review: Awesome, if it works with your software Summary: 5 Stars
Got this for Autodesk Inventor, Blender, and Maya. Works great! I wish they had Lightwave support (perhaps in the future?).
Glad I bought it. But remember, you only have two hands, so you have to either give up the mouse or keyboard for a moment to use it. I wish I had three hands, as I use the mouse and keyboard simultaneously most of the time.
Remember to check to see if your software will work with it before you buy.
Customer Review: Best invention for CAD in decades Summary: 5 Stars
This device is amazing. Now you can truly move objects on the screen in a natural manner without having to muddle around with the keyboard and the mouse. It works in cooperation with the mouse so you can be even more productive.
If you use Solidworks or Pro/E this device is a must have. The price is right, it appears to be solidly engineered, absoutely brilliant.
PS - I've been working with CAD for nearly 40 years
Customer Review: A must have 3D device Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using a spaceball for about 7 years, and can't live without one. I bought this one for my home. At approximate $55, this is an incredible price for something that makes my job a lot easier. Movement is smooth and precise. The installation is simple and works flawlessly with SolidWorks. One negative, it doesn't work with most browsers, so check the 3dconnexion website for a driver/compatability list.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
This controler is a must for the serious cad user or anyone who uses a graphics program. It is small but heavy, so it does not move around while you are trying to work. There is a screen that alows you to coustomize what each movement does. I did have trouble with the software. I am not sur if that was me or the disk. Simple solution, go to the company website and download from there. I love this controler.
